WOW, BATMAN IS OUT !!! Warner Bro. will replace him !!!!!

WOW, BATMAN IS OUT !!! Warner Bro. will replace him !!!!!

Ben Affleck out as Batman? Warner Bros. eyes replacing him

With Matt Reeves replacing Ben Affleck as director of The Batman, and recently revealing he’d tossed out Affleck and Geoff Johns’ script, many fans were wondering when Affleck himself might jump ship from the role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Pictures is mulling over that very thing, with an eye towards replacing Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman in an upcoming DC Extended Universe movie, very likely The Batman.

While Affleck will reprise the role in the upcoming Justice League, his third time at bat after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, either the studio or the actor himself (or both) are not happy with the way the DC movies are shaping up. It could also be a simple case of ageism, with the nearly 45-year-old Affleck far older than any of his fellow Justice Leaguers. Zack Snyder envisioned this iteration of the Dark Knight as an older, battle-hardened Batman who’d been beating up criminals in Gotham City for years by the time we catch up to him. Snyder has now exited the DC universe, with Joss Whedon taking over extensive reshoots on Justice League before filming his own Batgirl within the next year or two. The Batman is being eyed as the first in a potential trilogy, so if Affleck was getting cold feet about the role, it would definitely be a good idea for him to step out before the first one shoots.

However, the studio’s current line is Affleck is still all-in, with studio chief Toby Emmerich saying, “Ben is our Batman. We love him as Batman. We want to keep him in the cowl as long as we can.”

In the upcoming Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Amber Heard as Mera, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, with Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.

Justice League is set to hit the big screen November 10.

Spider-Man: Homecoming in Same Universe as Venom, Silver & Black Films

Spider-Man: Homecoming in Same Universe as Venom, Silver & Black Films

In an interview last April, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that Sony Pictures’ Venom and Silver & Black films would not be connected to Marvel Cinematic Universe or to their version of Spider-Man. Director Jon Watts, who will helm the wall-crawler’s first MCU solo film, also insisted that Venom would not be connected to the MCU at all. However, while in an interview Filmstarts, Spider-Man:

Homecoming andVenom producer Amy Pascal said that Venom andSilver & Black would take place in the same universe asSpider-Man: Homecoming, which would mean they also take place in the MCU.

“Well, those movies will all take place in the world that we’re now creating for Peter Parker,” Pascal said while sitting beside Feige. “They’ll all be adjuncts to it. They may be different locations, but it will still all be in the same world. They will all be connected to each other as well.”
When asked if Tom Holland would appear in any of the films, Pascal responded, “There’s a chance. There’s always a chance. I think one of the things that Kevin has done with Marvel that’s so brilliant is bringing the fans along and making each movie seem like a chapter in a book that you have to read in order to go forward, and I think the investment that the fans get to feel in being part of a larger story and understanding what’s happening is something that I know Sony would want to emulate.”
Silver & Black‘s and Venom‘s releases are still quite far out, so Holland appearing in those films is neither a foregone conclusion nor a certainty at this stage. However, Holland’s contract only specifies six films, three of which are solo Spider-Man films.
Two of the other three movies are presumed to be the upcomingAvengers films, Avengers: Infinity War and the currently untitled Avengers 4. The actor did mention that there are options in his contract that could be exercised whenever and used a cameo in an Avengers movie as an example, so it’s possible one of those options might allow him to appear in Venom or Silver & Black.

Wonder Woman Movie Coming June-02-17.....

Wonder Woman Movie Coming June-02-17.....

Release Date: June 2, 2017

Director: Patty Jenkins

Cast: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, and Lucy Davis.

What We Know So Far: Gadot made her first appearance as the character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will appear in Justice League, but not before she gets her own standalone film, and a World War I one at that. This marks the first female-led superhero movie of the modern era, and it will fittingly be directed by a woman.

However, while Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones veteran Michelle MacLaren was previously attached to direct, she departed over creative differences and Warner Bros. subsequently enlisted Monster helmer Jenkins, who herself was previously attached to Marvel’s Thor 2. Cast-wise, Pine plays Wonder Woman’s love interest Steve Trevor, a pilot who washes ashore on Diana Prince’s island paradise and tells her of the horrors of WWI happening in the outside world.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.

Cullen Bunn scares up new horror series Regression at Image Comics !!! Avaliable 05-10 -17

Cullen Bunn scares up new horror series Regression at Image Comics !!! Avaliable 05-10 -17

It comes as no surprise that Cullen Bunn likes to write horror, since he apparently doesn't ever sleep. Just this week saw the release of his Monsters Unleashed event for Marvel, and he continues to helm the relaunch of Micronauts at IDW ... as well as writing his own chilling creation Harrow County at Dark Horse. And I'm sure I'm forgetting some other comics he's writing, such as Deadpool: Back in Black and Uncanny X-Men.

Quite fittingly, his next big project is a creator-owned book about a guy with waking nightmares at one of the few major publishers left for him to conquer: Image Comics. His new series, Regression, is set to debut in May and will feature art by Haunted artist Danny Luckert, with colors and lettering by Marie Enger (Pistolwhip).

The story follows a man named Adrian as he desperately turns to past-life regression hypnotherapy in an attempt to cure his visions. On top of the lack of sleep, the hypnotherapy is another aspect that Bunn is pulling from real-life experiences.

"My father was a professional hypnotist for many years," the writer explains in the press release. "While it wasn't part of his on-stage act, he often conducted past life regressions. During these sessions I saw people describing other time periods with pinpoint accuracy and even saw someone speaking a language they didn't know. I also witnessed some really extremely creepy regressions that planted the seeds for this story of supernatural horror conspiracy."

In Adrian's regression, he'll see something even more horrifying than the visions he was trying to get rid of ... and will be followed back by something unspeakable. The series promises "a world of occult conspiracy, mystery, reincarnation and insanity — from which there is no escape."

Readers of Bunn's horror titles like Harrow County or The Sixth Gun will definitely want to check out his first work with Image Comics when Regression #1 hits comic book stores on May 10.

But be careful ... you may end up getting as little sleep as the writer.

Marvel, Brian Michael Bendis Bringing Back 'The Defenders' Comic Book Series !!!!

Marvel, Brian Michael Bendis Bringing Back 'The Defenders' Comic Book Series !!!!

Marvel Comics is bringing back The Defenders as a comic, but this time it’s coming with the Netflix state of mind.

Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist, heroes who are headlining their own shows on Netflix and are to team up for a show called Defenders, will now partner up on the publishing side.

Brian Michael Bendis, one of Marvel’s most popular writers, and artist David Marquez, who worked with Bendis on books featuring Spider-Man and Iron Man, are behind the new ongoing series, which will launch in June, after receiving a preview in the publisher’s Free Comic Book Day offering in May.

Defenders was a comic Marvel first launched in the early 1970s and it mostly included a fluctuating roster of heroes, with Doctor Strange and the Hulk being strands throughout. In 2013, Netflix and Marvel announced their plans for a Defenders television miniseries.

While it’s true there’s the upcoming Netflix show, Marvel’s senior vp executive editor Tom Brevoort says the roots for the new book grow from 2012, when Bendis wrapped up his run on New Avengers, the team book that consisted of Cage, Jones, Fist and Daredevil — along with Wolverine, Spider-Man and others.

“There are a lot of fans who will say, 'Oh they’re doing a TV show, so of course there’s going to be a comic,' but at least in this case, there’s a comic I can point you to," Brevoort tells Heat Vision. "Read the last two pages of Brian’s New Avengers! Certainly that there is a big new exciting Netflix TV show coming is a good excuse for us to get to that story that we planted the seed on.”

Thus, Defenders sees Bendis' return to private investigator Jones, whom he co-created, and Cage, whom he returned to prominence in 2005 by including him in an Avengers lineup that was initially met with skepticism. And of course, Daredevil, for whom Bendis wrote a defining run for five years, working with artist Alex Maleev, in the early 2000s that was gritty and grounded.

“You will get Jessica Jones looking out her window, street-level, and my return to Daredevil, which will be different than what I and Alex did before,” says Bendis. "And Luke and Danny, characters that I have a strong affinity for. I spent most of the oughts being mocked for the love of Luke Cage. Now that Luke Cage is a household name, I just sit back in my chair and laugh and laugh.”

In keeping with the tone of the Netflix shows, which, of course, are based on the gray worlds of the heroes’ stories, Defenders sees the group banding to take on the various criminal empires vying for dominance in New York City and the neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen.

“I wanted to do a sprawling, Godfather-like epic at the street level of the Marvel Universe, really putting out hooks down and creating a modern, elaborate organized crime story that is different than what has gone before, but builds on everything that has happened to these characters, as individuals or as a team, and putting them in the hardest battle for the street that anyone can imagine."

For Defenders, Bendis is reteaming with Marquez, both coming off of the event series Civil War II.

"Usually, when an artist is finished with a book like that, they want something quieter,” says Bendis of the artist, who, like Bendis, lives in Portland. “This is the least quiet, ‘quiet book’ to do after an event.”

Bendis says his authorship of the book is going be ongoing, a hallmark of the writer in an era where many scribes do just half-year or yearlong contracts.

“I love ongoing titles. I love what happens in the second year of titles…. There’s a lot of hit-and-run writers and artists, I get that, but I find the real substance is when you’ve made a commitment. If you say to yourself, 'I’m only staying for six issues,' you've already kind of left. If you say to yourself, 'I’m staying,' then you really commit to it on a level that is important to the reader."
