Spider-Gwen swings into action as a bishoujo statue. Pre-Order Today !

The Marvel Bishoujo collection, bringing you new interpretations of familiar superheroes and villains, returns with one of the most popular characters to debut in the last few years, SPIDER-GWEN! On a parallel Earth it was Gwendolyne “Gwen” Stacy, not Peter Parker, who was bitten by a radioactive spider and given superpowers, and in turn she became a heroine first named Spider-Woman but better known as Spider-Gwen. She has all of the same abilities as Earth-616’s Spider-Man but with her own flair and a costume that instantly made her a hit. Kotobukiya brings you that fantastic design in a Bishoujo Statue based on a new character interpretation by Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita! The web-slinging hero of her world, Spider-Gwen is captured in the middle of the action as she swings through the air. The daring heroine comes in for a landing on one outstretched leg while she reaches out to launch a new web from her left hand in the classic web shooter pose. Gwen wears her immediately recognizable costume, the amazing black, white, and pink skintight bodysuit with web designs on her arms and torso along with bright blue footwear. Best of all, you have two very different options for displaying Spider-Gwen thanks to included interchangeable parts.

Use the hooded head to keep her identity secret behind the sleek pink and white mask or choose the bare-headed look to show off Gwen’s beautiful Bishoujo-styled smiling face and long blonde hair! Spider-Gwen stands 8 ¾ inches tall (1/7 scale) on a specially designed display base. Get the hottest new arachnid-inspired heroine for your collection before Spider-Gwen swings away!

Azrael Debuts In Action-Filled New "Gotham" Promo !!!!!

Azrael Debuts In Action-Filled New "Gotham" Promo !!!!!

Since its opening episodes of Season 2 when the Order of St. Dumas was first teased, the expectation for this year's "Gotham" has been a live action debut for the avenging angel Azrael. The mad, sword-swining character was first created by Denny O'Neil and Joe Quesada in the '90s and has at odd times occupied a special place in the Batman canon ever since.

With a brand new promo for next week's aptly titled "Azrael" episode, the Fox drama shows off the fully armored angel in action. Though beware if you're not caught up with the series to this point, because the trailer definitely spoils the identity of the show's take on the character:

Captain America: Civil War !!!!

Release Date: May 6, 2016

Directors: Joe Russo and Anthony Russo

Cast: Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Sebastian Stan, Anthony MackieJeremy RennerScarlett Johansson, Chadwick BosemanDaniel BruhlPaul Rudd, Martin FreemanPaul BettanyFrank GrilloEmily VanCamp, William Hurt, and Leslie Bibb.

What We Know So Far: Robert Downey Jr. is poised to co-star in the third Captain America entry as the film will be delving into the Civil War storyline of the comic books, which sees Cap and Iron Man become enemies after disagreeing about a new form of legislation that would require any and all beings with superhuman abilities to register with the government.  Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t have secret identities, their main point of contention in the film will be whether superheroes need government oversight.  The film is also said to continue the Winter Soldier storyline from the previous Captain America installment with Bruhl playing Baron Zemo, and Boseman will also make his first appearance as Black Panther.  Throw in the entire new Avengers team, the debut of Tom Holland as Spider-Man, and a few other MCU characters we haven’t seen in a while, and you’ve got yourself quite possibly the biggest Marvel movie yet.

Suicide Squad  !!!!!

Director: David Ayer

CastWill SmithMargot RobbieJared LetoJai CourtneyJoel KinnamanCara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jay HernandezAdam BeachJim Parrack, Scott EastwoodIke BarinholtzKaren Fukuhara, and Viola Davis

This is Warner Bros.’ first non-Superman film in its new DC Movie Universe, and Ayer appears to be striking a much darker yet playful tone judging by the film’s terrific trailer.

Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy !!!!

Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy !!!!

There’s no denying that the most popular genre around these days is the superhero movie. Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy proved that comic book adaptations could be just as dramatic and heavy as non-genre films, Marvel Studios jumpstarted a massive interconnected series of superhero movies that were significantly more colorful and humorous, and audiences have been turning out to both kinds of superhero films in droves. With nearly every major studio now working to turn its own comic book properties into the next big thing, and with Marvel Studios and Warner Bros. plotting out half a decade’s worth of material, it’s sometimes tough to keep track of what’s coming out when, who’s in it, and how it fits into the overall picture.  Not to worry, though, because we here at Collider have you covered.

Below, you’ll find a comprehensive guide of superhero movie release dates for every major comic book adaptation on the calendar, going all the way up to the year 2020. Moreover, we’ll be updating this guide regularly with the most current information, so if you’re ever at a loss for when exactly Captain Marvel is supposed to be in theaters, you can come right back here for a quick refresher.

Willem Dafoe Joins "Justice League" Cast !!!!

Dafoe has signed on to join the "Justice League."

"Spider-Man" star Willem Dafoe is headed to Warner Bros.' "Justice League," but -- according to The Hollywood Reporter -- he'll be on the side of the angels this time around. Though few details are known about Dafoe's role at this time, the report clarifies he'll be playing one of the good guys.

Dafoe will join fellow newcomer and "Spider-Man" alum J.K. Simmons, who Warner Bros. tapped to play Commissioner Gordon last month. Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will also return as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman respectively, while Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ezra Miller (the Flash) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg) join the team for the very first time.

In addition to his role as Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man," Dafoe has appeared in "Platoon," "John Wick," "Boondock Saints," "John Carter" and many, many more films.

"Justice League Part One" is scheduled to open on November 17, 2017, though Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will first be seen as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", which is currently in theaters.

The Killing Joke Animated Feature !!!!

The Killing Joke Animated Feature !!!!

Ask any self respecting Batman fan, and they will tell you that one of the upcoming films that has them overcome with excitement is the Batman: The Killing Joke animated feature. A hard R adaptation of Alan Moore’s beloved graphic novel, The Killing Joke will bring the dark story of The Joker’s iconic battle with Batman and Jim Gordon to life for the very first time. The film thus far looks incredibly faithful to the source material, but as it turns out, Warner Bros. will make some distinct changes to expand the role of Barbara Gordon a.k.a Batgirl in the film.

According to a new report from Hitfix, it now seems that The Killing Joke will feature a 15-minute prologue that chronicles the crime-fighting career of Batgirl. Although Barbara Gordon features prominently in the original Killing Joke graphic novel, readers never get a chance to see her don her Batsuit and take on criminals. We as readers only get a brief glimpse into her life prior to Joker shooting her in the spine, and following that she is left crying in a hospital room while Batman goes off to fight his nemesis.

It remains to be seen how fans will respond to such a creative decision. While it’s always undoubtedly awesome to see a member of the Bat Family kicking ass and taking names, other members of the audience might not like such a drastic addition to the source material. Alan Moore’s The Killing Joke has become something of a sacred work within the Batman mythos, and any substantial departures from what fans have come to expect might not be met with the most welcoming reception.

Personally, while I am a huge fan of the graphic novel, seeing Barbara Gordon hitting the streets as Batgirl can only improve the already stellar story. It will allow the filmmakers to establish her as a hero in her own right, and not just a victim of The Joker’s twisted machinations. Seeing her immense fall from grace will add to the dramatic impact of her paralysis.

Toy Fair 2016: Mattel DC Multiverse and Suicide Squad !!!! 6 Inch Action Figures Coming Soon....

Toy Fair 2016: Mattel DC Multiverse and Suicide Squad !!!! 6 Inch Action Figures Coming Soon....

For those of you lamenting the death of DC Universe Classics, rest assured, Mattel is beginning to ramp up DC Comics-based figures again. And they will continue to collaborate with the Four Horsemen on them. However, if you are hoping for the return of a retail line solely focused on DC / Four Horsemen figures, that’s not happening in the near term.

Mattel’s strategy to have one line that encapsulates comics, movies, TV, and video game figures is working for them. The Four Horsemen, who were once the sole collaborators on collector-oriented DC figures from Mattel, will still have a portion of that – mostly the comics-inspired figures. Most of the others are falling outside the 4H aesthetic and are being done internally or by other design partners.
