"Spider-Man" star Willem Dafoe is headed to Warner Bros.' "Justice League," but -- according to The Hollywood Reporter -- he'll be on the side of the angels this time around. Though few details are known about Dafoe's role at this time, the report clarifies he'll be playing one of the good guys.
Dafoe will join fellow newcomer and "Spider-Man" alum J.K. Simmons, who Warner Bros. tapped to play Commissioner Gordon last month. Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will also return as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman respectively, while Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ezra Miller (the Flash) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg) join the team for the very first time.
In addition to his role as Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man," Dafoe has appeared in "Platoon," "John Wick," "Boondock Saints," "John Carter" and many, many more films.
"Justice League Part One" is scheduled to open on November 17, 2017, though Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will first be seen as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", which is currently in theaters.
