JEFFREY DEAN MORGAN WILL PUSH AMC FOR A COMICS-ACCURATE NEGAN ON "THE WALKING DEAD !!!!!

Now that word is out about his role as Negan on "The Walking Dead," Jeffrey Dean Morgan is making it clear that he wants his portrayal of the character to be as close to the comics as he can make it -- even if that means testing AMC's boundaries."The character itself is going to be as close as humanly possible," he told Entertainment Weekly.New "Walking Dead" Clip Declares: Negan Is ComingAs to AMC's strict rules of about the use of profanity, he said, "Look, it's a speed bump. I'm not going to say it's an issue because they're working on it. We're going to push AMC -- the plan is to push them as far as they can because it's who Negan is. He uses some colorful language. And I use some colorful language. And reading the comic, it's important. So we'll see where that lands. It's our intention that this character is going to leap off the pages of the comic book. It's very important that that’s who it is. Some of the characters there's much more leeway, but Negan is a guy that you want to keep as true as possible, and that would be how I want to play him as well."He also revealed he had seen Lucille -- the bat with which Negan murders Glenn in the comics. "She is gorgeous," he shared. "She is a beautiful girl."Additionally, he opened up about his love for the comics and how he ultimately landed the role: "So a couple of years ago people started saying, 'Hey, man, you should be Negan in "The Walking Dead."' So I started reading the comic books just because I'm a fan and I love what [Robert] Kirkman is doing and so I was very aware of Negan and had read quite a bit of the comic books. So my agent and manager were on the phone and said, '"The Walking Dead" have offered you this thing,' but they didn't have any information. They didn't know the character’s name. It was all a big secret."RELATED: "Walking Dead" Showrunner Teases "Quite Deadly" Midseason Premiere"And they sort of got halfway through the sentence saying 'We don't know the character's name, he’s the new big bad…' and I knew immediately who they were talking about," he continued. "They just got halfway through and I knew immediately who it was. It was no question. I was like, 'Absolutely. We're going to f—ing do it!' And that was it. And literally a week later I was in Atlanta talking with the cast and hanging out."Based on the Image Comics series of the same name and created byRobert Kirkman, "The Walking Dead" will return Sunday, February 14 at 9 pm EST on AMC.

Over 40 DC Comics & Marvel Movies will hits theaters in the next six years !!!

Looking ahead has been made easier than ever thanks to the studios developing these comic book properties for film continuing to announce release dates further and further into the future (Marvel added six around Comic-Con), and Sony attempting to blow open the Spider-Man movie franchise with a slate of movies that feature other characters as the lead(s). Then of course, there’s Twentieth Century Fox who are finally going to bring their Marvel properties to the forefront with annual releases and a “serious” reboot of the Fantastic Four. They even announced an FF followup already alongside Deadpool.

Finally, there’s Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment who are using the followup to 2013’s Man of Steel to launch their own shared cinematic universe. They announced 9 additional DC movie release dates and just confirmed what they all are. Everyone wants a part of the shared universe pie and there’s a race to plant tentpoles for the future. As a result, we currently have over 40 DC and Marvel branded films scheduled to hit cinemas the next six years, with a few more still unannounced.

Notes:
•2015-16 is the calm before the storm. We go from three films to six, then from six to nine in 2017.
•We’re not counting any animated features – list is comprised of live-action theatrical releases.
•Sony has yet to date three of their movies.
•There are 30 DC/Marvel films currently scheduled (28 officially) from 2015-2020
•For all of the studios, the plan is mostly set from now until 2018 but after that we’ve yet to see or hear what’s happening from the studios with Marvel properties.
•Following Fox’s current trend, there will be at least 1-2 X-Men/FF movies in both 2019 and 2020 so we can add 2-4 to their number. (Recall: There’s interest and/or scripts ready for Deadpool, Gambit, X-Force) (Update: Deadpool has been added!) (Update 3: Gambit has been added!)
•Following Sony’s current trend, there will be at least one Spider-Man movie in 2019 and 2020 so we can add 2-3 to their number.
•Following Marvel’s growing trend, there will be at least 2-3 features in 2019-2020 so we can add 4-6 to their number.
•Conservative estimate is that there will be a minimum of 38 DC/Marvel movies over the next six years. If the genre keeps performing as it is now, there will easily be well over 40. (Update 2: There are more now…) (Update 4: Spider-Man joins MCU, changing Sony’s franchise plans)
•Is your mind blown?
•Is the genre about to peak?

Previously: At Comic-Con 2014 there were expectations that Disney/Marvel Studios and Warner Bros./DC Entertainment would announce a series of titles and dates for their upcoming features but both held back entirely, likely to focus attention on their immediate future. With both studios now (officially) laying out plans for their future, we can expect more and more news soon, especially since some of these must begin shooting next year (Doctor Strange for Marvel and whatever DC’s 2016 feature is).

Marvel's Luke Cage Netflix Series Details !!!

Marvel's Luke Cage Netflix Series Details !!!

Everything you need to know about Marvel's Luke Cage TV show, including story details, casting, premiere date, and more!

Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are on everybody's minds right now, thanks to the latter half of that pair debuting on Netflix. But Mike Colter as Luke Cage has made quite an impression, as well, and he's the next character to get a Marvel Netflix series all his own.

Cheo Hodari Coker will serve as executive producer and showrunner on Luke Cage.

We've got all the details on Marvel's Luke Cage TV series coming to Netflix right here in one place for you.

Luke Cage Story

Here's the plot, according to Marvel:

"After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin. Luke Cage becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city - forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury."

Get Luke Cage comics, action figures, and more on Amazon

Luke Cage Premiere Date

Marvel's Luke Cage won't appear until sometime in 2016. We bet it won't premiere until the Fall of next year, since Daredevil season 2 is set to return in the Spring. We'll let you know as soon as an official announcement gets made.

Luke Cage Cast

Mike Colter will play the titular Luke Cage, a man who is wrongfully imprisoned and given super-strength.

Marvel's Luke Cage Netflix series just keeps adding new characters. We've got a host of villains and some potential allies on the way.

Frank Whaley, known for roles in Pulp Fiction, Broken Arrow, Hoffa and, more recently, TV shows like Gotham and Ray Donovan, has been cast as Detective Rafael Scarfe. Scarfe first turned up in the Marvel comic books back in 1975 and has been an ally of both Cage and the Heroes For Hire, so we’ll see if he takes on a similar function in the series.

Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes is probably the series big bad, and he'll be played by Mahershala Ali (House of Cards). He's described as "a Harlem nightclub owner, and will become an unexpected foe in Luke’s life when Stokes’ criminal activities threaten Luke’s world."

“Mahershala is an actor of extraordinary range and gravitas. As Cottonmouth he will really let loose,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb in a statement. “Luke Cage won’t know what hit him.”

Here's a little visual hint they dropped, too...

Deadline reports that Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy) has been cast as Shades, a career criminal and Cage's nemesis. He will appear as a regular on the show opposite Alfre Woodard's Minetta (rumored to actually be villain Black Mariah).

Simone Missick has joined the cast as "Missy," described by Deadline as "a woman with a strong sense of justice." It looks like she's actually playing metahuman private detective Misty Knight, though, a character who fits right in with the street-level Marvel Universe being established on these shows.

In the comics, Misty ends up with a bionic arm (courtesy of Tony Stark), but we'll see if any of that plays out here.

Rosario Dawson, who plays Claire Temple on Daredevil and Jessica Jones, will also reprise her role for Luke Cage. This shouldn't be too much of a story, especially given Marvel's plans to crossover all three shows in the future. In the comics, Claire was also a romantic interest to Luke at one point.

Speaking of Claire Temple, Sonia Braga will play Soledad Temple (via TV Line), Claire's mother. That would seem to indicate that Claire's role in Luke Cage will be a bit larger than it was in Daredevil or Jessica Jones.

Rambo TV Series in the Works at Fox !!!!

Rambo TV Series in the Works at Fox !!!!

Plans are set for Sylvester Stallone to produce a Rambo TV series, as strange as that may sound.

While some might dismiss the exploits of the embattled wayward Green Beret John Rambo as a Reagan era relic, it still seems to be the case that his country loves him as much as he loves it. Rambo may soon be making a comeback, moving things to the small screen this time. The man who played the eponymous American-as-apple-pie protagonist, Sylvester Stallone will at least be involved as executive producer.

According to reports from an array of trade outlets, Fox has closed a development deal for a series tentatively titled Rambo: New Blood. The series is directly connected to the explosively iconic series of action films launched in 1981’s First Blood, which was adapted from David Morrel’s original novel. The show title seems to be a rather strong indication that the series will be a passing of the torch to a new generation of marginalized military veterans turned by circumstances into one-man-armies. Indeed, reports indicate that is actually more than the case.

The basic plot of Rambo: New Blood introduces and follows a completely new character in an ex-Navy SEAL named J.R. (presumably standing for John Rambo junior). While early info is still rather sketchy, a large part of the series will supposedly involve the father-son dynamic between the elder Rambo and J.R. Thus, while Sylvester Stallone has not yet been confirmed to reprise his iconic movie role (last revived in 2008’s Rambo,) the presence of the father seems to be a critical component, at least in terms of codifying the series’ continuity connection to the popular films.

Producing studio eOne will launch the series working off a script screenwriter Jeb Stuart, who helped pen the original Die Hard, The Fugitive and even one of Stallone’s heyday-era pictures, Lock Up. The small screen jump, which had been rumored a few years back, is a rather interesting move, considering the current critical and box-office acclaim with Stallone’s other major franchise, Rocky with Creed. However, the ever-evolving medium could yield a new focus towards the more pathos-heavy elements of First Blood before the series evolved into an unmitigated orgy of explosions (enjoyable as they were).

At the moment, plans relating to production and release for Rambo: New Blood have not yet been announced.

Updated "Captain America: Civil War" Synopsis Revealed

Updated "Captain America: Civil War" Synopsis Revealed

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team.

The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

If you're like to play a game of spot the differences, here's the original synopsis, released back in May:

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, "Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.

"Teen Titans" Movie Rumored; Possible "Green Lantern Corps" !!!

"Teen Titans" Movie Rumored; Possible "Green Lantern Corps" !!!

The Teen Titans may crash Cyborg's solo debut.

Rumors are running rampant about the future of Warner Bros.' DC Comics movies, as a new report posits that the "Cyborg" movie may be scrapped in favor of a "Teen Titans" flick.

According to JoBlo -- who also reported news of the possible villain in James Wan's "Aquaman" movie -- the 2020 "Cyborg" movie, which is set to star Ray Fisher as the title character, is "under consideration" to be retooled as a full-on "Teen Titans" movie. If the rumor turns out to be true, that would mean Warners is developing a "Teen Titans" film while they've already got a TV pilot in the works at TNT.

Additionally, the report notes that 2020's "Green Lantern Corps" movie is shaping up to be a buddy-cop-style action movie, like "Lethal Weapon," wherein Hal Jordan and John Stewart, -- the film's leading 'Lanterns -- would be the Riggs and Murtaugh of the story.

The report also mentions that the studio plans to make diversity a priority in its films, noting: "There is also discussion about including a gay superhero in the DCEU ranks, although according to my sources it's not something set in stone, but definitely under serious consideration for at least one major character."

"Cyborg" is tentatively slated for an April 3, 2020 release, while "Green Lantern Corps" is set to hit screens on June 19, 2020.
