EXCLUSIVE: Disney Infinity 3.0 Expands "The Force Awakens" with New Playset Planet !!!

EXCLUSIVE: Disney Infinity 3.0 Expands "The Force Awakens" with New Playset Planet !!!

Today, CBR News has the exclusive first look at a new planet you'll get to explore in Disney Infinity 3.0's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" playset (and thus see in the movie): Takodana. Like previous "Star Wars" playsets, Takodana will let you enjoy the adventure of the new movie with some cartoony hack & slash action. Along with an exclusive shot from the game, we also have a previously unseen piece of concept art offering a bit of insight into how the game's developers create its settings.

SPOILER-FREE REVIEW: "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" Exceeds the Hype.....

According to the playset's official description, "Takodana is a forest planet. It's home to a band of smugglers and traders. The players quickly discover a great way to get what they need is to help the locals solve their unique problems not all of which are on the up and up."

Not surprisingly, the "Force Awakens" playset is not the only place where you can explore Takodana. The planet also appears in the mobile strategy game "Star Wars: Commander," though that game is actually set between the events of "A New Hope" and "The Empire Strikes Back," and not during the time of "The Force Awakens." It's also the setting for Landry Q. Walker's ebook story "The Face of Evil," which will be included in the upcoming anthology "Tales from a Galaxy Far, Far Away," which will be published on April 5, 2016. Though we wouldn't be surprised if it was also one of the battlefields added to the "Star Wars: Battlefront" next year.

The "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" playset for "Disney Infinity 3.0" arrives today on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, WiiU, iOS, Android, and Apple TV....

New 52 Superman Meets Pre-Flashpoint Superman In March

New 52 Superman Meets Pre-Flashpoint Superman In March

With the release of DC Comics' latest solicitations, we now have an idea of what's in store for the publisher come March 2016 beyond the previously announced "Batman v Superman" variant cover program.

"Superman, "Batman," "Wonder Woman" & More Hit #50, "Suiciders" Returns in DC's March 2016 Solicits

For one thing, most of the titles that were part of the initial "New 52" launch are celebrating milestone 50th issues, bringing with them plenty of major revelations. As always, CBR has sorted through the long list of upcoming individual issues, collected editions and merchandise to highlight the most pressing information.
The New 52 original titles turn 50! Each of the original launch titles still running in March celebrate their 50th issues with extra-sized, 48-page offerings.

The pre-Flashpoint Superman meets his (fully repowered) New 52 counterpart in "Superman" #50. This version of Superman is a holdover from the recent "Convergence" event and currently co-stars in the "Superman: Lois & Clark" series.

Following its January debut on the CW, DC will launch a new "Legends of Tomorrow" anthology series in March, using the TV show title and comprised of previously announced stories starring Firestorm, Metamorpho, Metal Men and Sugar and Spike.

The pre-Flashpoint DCU is present in "Green Lantern" #50 as well, with Parallax facing off with the New 52's Hal Jordan.

Parallax also features in Tom King's "Convergence" spin-off "Telos," which wraps up its run in March with issue #6.

"Batman" #50 will see the return of Bruce Wayne to the cape and cowl as he teams up with Jim Gordon to fight Mr. Bloom. The extra-sized issue will also conclude Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's "Superheavy" arc.

"Aquaman" #50 expands its cast with the introduction of Aquawoman. A character called Aquawoman currently exists on Earth-2, but the solicitation text implies that this may be a totally new character.

"Martian Manhunter" #10 will feature the titular hero's new "definitive origin story," as told by writer Rob Williams and artist Eddy Barrows.

After staving off cancellation a few months back thanks to overwhelming fan support across social media, "The Omega Men" enters the "epic final act" of its run with issue #10.

Cassie will learn the truth about her origin in "Teen Titans" #18, a story titled "Who Is Wonder Girl?"

The weekly series "Batman & Robin: Eternal" concludes with issues #22-26, which all ship in March. The final arc will see Mother's trap set in motion and Dick Grayson trying to lead "his allies" against "an entire army of foes."

Lee Bermejo and incoming artist Alessandro Vitti bring the Suiciders back for more with "Suiciders: Kings of Hell.A." #1.

Spoiler and Harper Row/Bluebird look to be joining the cast of "Batgirl," judging by the the cover art and solicitation copy tease.

DC's latest variant month features polybagged "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"-themed offerings. While the covers themselves remain under wraps, and will likely follow in the footsteps of this month's Harley Quinn variant offerings with random original sketch covers inserted, the bags' branded "BvS" art has been revealed.

Grant Morrison and Mark Millar's short but fondly remembered run on "The Flash" is collected in March.

Blanchett, having just received SAG and Golden Globe nominations for “Carol,” would be making her first major comic book role in “Ragnarok.”

Original Artist of The Walking Dead Tony Moore Returns for #150 Variant Cover !!!!!

Original Artist of The Walking Dead Tony Moore Returns for #150 Variant Cover !!!!!

Original Artist of The Walking Dead Tony Moore Returns for #150 Variant Cover.

         Variant by Tony Moore

It's indisputable that reaching issue 150 is a huge achievement in comics,” series writer Robert Kirkman said in a press release. “Charlie Adlard and Team Walking Dead have been working tirelessly for over a decade to get us to this milestone and now it's time to celebrate. It's an honor to have comic book pals Jason Latour and Ryan Ottley bringing their vision to these iconic characters. Additionally, words cannot describe how excited I am to have Tony Moore, artist of the first 6 issues, returning to provide a cover for this special event.”

Moore’s variant cover mirrors his cover to The Walking Dead #1, showing how many people Rick has lost and just how much he has changed both physically and emotionally.

Moore drew the first six issues, the first 24 covers, and the first four trade covers for The Walking Dead comic before leaving the series. In 2012, Moore had a legal dispute with Kirkman over The Walking Dead, which was settled on mutually beneficial terms.

       Variant by Ryan Ottley

Issue #150, published by Skybound at Image Comics, now has a total of five covers: the three variants plus the regular Charlie Adlard cover and blank sketch variant already announced. The covers have inks by Stefano Gaudiano, tones by Cliff Rathburn, and lettering by Rus Wooton.

       Cover by Charlie Adlard

          Blank sketch variant

Latour is the artist of Southern Bastards, another Image comic with writer Jason Aaron. Ottley is the artist of Invincible, an original superhero story also written by Kirkman.

The extra-sized The Walking Dead #150 releases on January 13, 2016.

LR Hot Rumor: Will Smith Might Just Join Ben Affleck's 'The Batman' Movie WOW !!!!

LR Hot Rumor: Will Smith Might Just Join Ben Affleck's 'The Batman' Movie WOW !!!!

When Warner Bros first announced that "Man of Steel 2" was going to introduce Batman and pave the way for a Justice League two-part movie, the move looked like the fastest way to catch up with Marvel's strategy of moving in Phases.

Now, the idea of featuring superhero teams without stopping for individual origin films looks like a full-on strategy for how to make the most of the DC properties. Will Smith, who recently wrapped his part as Deadshot in David Ayer's "Suicide Squad," is psyched about being part of a massive superhero cinematic universe. Since he signed on for multiple appearances as Deadshot, the rumble behind the scenes is that he wants to be an ongoing part of Warner's and DC's plans. Right now as per my sources

IF things pan out Will Smith may join Ben Affleck in his solo Batman movie, which might not end up being so solo. If Deadshot joins the Bat in the movie, it will be for a "major role" for a "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" scenario. Nothing's locked down completely, but most of the involved parties seem enthusiastic. Getting Deadshot and Batman to join forces in a movie isn't nearly as hard as landing two A-list actors like Smith and Affleck in one movie (that Affleck will likely direct), and could be another Batman V Superman sized event instead of just another entry into the canon of Batman films. Batman and Deadshot teamed up in the comics as recently as this year's Batman: Arkham Knight comics (starting with issue 23). Read more at: https://tr.im/DJYhg

Norman Reedus Bitten By Rabid Fan Not Pressing Charges !!!!

Norman Reedus Bitten By Rabid Fan Not Pressing Charges !!!!

A female fan bit "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus on his chest at a zombie convention this weekend ... but the biter is now off the hook according to law enforcement sources.

Cops tell TMZ, Reedus -- who wasn't hurt during the attack -- declined to press charges against the biter since it was only a nibble.

A rep for New Jersey's Walker Stalker Con says event security was standing a couple feet from Reedus when the fan opened her mouth and tried to take a chunk out of his chest.

Cops and event security jumped into action and booted the biter from the convention. The rep says the woman has been banned from all future Walker Stalker conventions and other sponsored events where Norman is present.

Reedus didn't seek any medical attention -- the bite didn't break the skin -- and he was able to continue the meet and greet.
